They told us the universe would die in heat or in cold, that nothing could outlast entropy.

So we built the Archive — a sphere of pure data, sealed beyond decay, floating in the void.

Inside, we stored everything: the history of stars, the songs of oceans, the laughter of children.

We believed it would last forever.

And it did.

Until it started deleting itself.
